Dr. Ara H. Abrahamyan serves as a Head of Group Architecture and Portfolio Management at Erste Group, Austria.

He is responsible for the Group IT Portfolio Management and Investment Governance with the Change the Bank project portfolio size of the more than €300mln. He is a Head of Group Enterprise Architecture covering Risk, Finance, Group Central functions and corporate banking.  His responsibilities include the IT Strategy of the Group. He serves as a Member of the Group COO Board and is a permanent guest to the Supervisory Board of EG IT. Before joining Erste Group, Austria, Ara H. Abrahamyan worked as a Regional Head of Risk (Director), Legal, Compliance and CSBC IT at a Deutsche Bank AG, Frankfurt am Main, Germany.

He has an unique combination of extensive technology background with in depth business process understanding of Risk Management, Finance and Accounting for financial services as well as Investment banking.
