Dr. Philip M. Parker

INSEAD

Philip M. Parker, PhD (Wharton), is an INSEAD Chaired Professor of Management Science and Professor of Marketing at INSEAD. He specializes in using AI methods in the field of forecasting, innovation diffusion, and content creation. He has worked on many projects with a number of organizations (e.g. the Grameen Foundation, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, among others) delivering local-language content via rural radio and mobile phone networks to remote populations. He has taught or been a visiting scholar at UCLA, Stanford University, Harvard University, and MIT. Founded first automation-based publisher – ICON Group International Inc. with digital distribution in major channels.

Professor Parker has broad application experience across a number of machine learning techniques used in advanced applied analytics, including unsupervised machine learning (e.g., data reduction methodologies, and cluster analysis), modelling (Markov chains, funnel analysis, econometrics), supervised and deep machine learning algorithms (e.g., time series, binary, categorical, ordinal and cardinal data models), and allocation models (e.g., portfolio, response analysis, delphi training, etc.). He has unique expertise on natural language processing (NLP) and has patented automation methods for natural language generation (NLG). He teaches MBA, executive and PhD courses covering all aspects of artificial intelligence and machine learning.
