Dr. Tomas Casas i Klett is a permanent faculty at the University of St.Gallen and the Director of the China Competence Center (CCC) at the Research Institute for International Management (FIM-HSG). He leads a global team based at the University of St. Gallen, with research interests in China's economy, the Belt and Road Initiative, and narrative economics.

Dr. Casas i Klett is also a visiting professor at universities in China, including the Tsinghua University’s School of Economics and Management (SEM) in Beijing or Fudan University’s School of Management in Shanghai. His experience includes work in Japan and over a decade as an entrepreneur in Asia, with leadership in executive education programs. He has authored books on Japan and Russia and contributes to the World Economic Forum. His forthcoming work will introduce a new paradigm in economics.
