Bled, September 2020: The first generation of DBA participants has started with their studies at the IEDC-Bled School of Management this week. Due to current situation with Covid-19 the lecture on leadership studies, led by Prof. Drikus Kriek, Dean and Director of doctoral studies, took place online.
The DBA is a 4-year doctoral study designed for executives who are already successful in business for many years and look for a new intellectual challenge. These people often have an MBA or other Master’s degree already and want to further distinguish themselves from others by doing a doctoral degree. At the same time, they are interested in management research and may have a practical research question in mind - a specific problem from their work environment for instance - that they can approach in their dissertation and that provides benefits to their companies at the same time.
The DBA program faculty comprise some of the most regarded researchers and educators in the fields of strategic leadership, management, innovation and creativity from across the globe.
The DBA at IEDC is accredited by AMBA and this makes it one of only ten programs world-wide that can claim that they have been awarded this prestigious honour.
