Majšperk (Slovenia): Prof. Danica Purg received the highest municipal recognition – The honorary citizen - for her life work in the field of business education and promotion of Municipality of Majšperk. Prof. Purg received the recognition from the Mayor of Majšperk, Dr. Darinka Fakin.
Prof. Purg is the second citizen to receive this recognition, after Mr. Stojan Kerbler, one of the most talented photographers from Slovenia, also a citizen of Majšperk.
“I think that a lot of what I've achieved in my life is, because my parents were very ambitious and always wanted me to be better and do more. I’ve learned a lot also from my teachers at Ptujska Gora where I went to elementary school. They were really exceptional and have set lots of examples in my life.” said Danica Purg.
