Alenka Recelj Mercina, MSc is a sustainability and sustainable-finance expert with more than 20 years of experience in banking. She is Director and co-owner of TERRA VERDE d.o.o., where she advises financial institutions, companies and public organisations on sustainability transformation, climate transition and the integration of sustainability and ESG considerations into strategy and business decisions. Previously, as the first Head of Sustainability at NLB Group, she contributed significantly to establishing the Group’s sustainability governance framework and helped drive the integration of ESG considerations into key business and governance processes. She is also an experienced lecturer on sustainable finance, sustainability governance and climate-related business challenges.
