IEDC is among the 2020-2021 PRME Champions Cycle launched in Davos and the only business school in Central Europe to be recognized as PRME Champion
The mission of the PRME Champions group is to contribute to thought and action leadership on responsible management education in the context of the United Nations sustainable development agenda.

Bled (Slovenia) and New York (US), January 29, 2020: Launched at the 2007 UN Global Compact Leaders’ Summit in Geneva, the Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME) initiative is the first organised relationship between the United Nations and business schools, with the PRME Secretariat housed in the UN Global Compact Office. The mission of PRME is to inspire and champion responsible management education, research and thought leadership globally.

The 2020-2021 cycle of the PRME Champions connects a group of 36 higher education institutions from 20 countries that commit to significant transformation in teaching, research, and partnerships underscored by the Global Goals.

The Champions are selected based on a track record of sustainability implementation, commitment to PRME, as well as their leadership through Working Groups, Chapters, Regional Meetings and various other venues of engagement.

We are proud that IEDC – Bled School of Management is named a PRME Champion also in 2020 (IEDC received its first recognition as PRME Champion in 2016) and it makes us especially proud that also 5 other CEEMAN members make a significant part of the new PRME Champions cycle:

  • Gordon Institute of Business Science, South Africa
  • Hanken School of Economics, Finland
  • Institute of Business Studies IBS-Moscow, RANEPA, Russia
  • IPM Business School, Belarus
  • ISAE, Brazil

Guided by the collective work and output from previous Champion cycles and in line with the Champions Mission, the focus of this cycle will be on thought and action leadership, knowledge sharing and peer-learning with the aim of future-proofing participating institutions and demonstrating the impact of their sustainability efforts.
