Bled (Slovenia) June 23 2017: Seven cross-functional teams from Danfoss Trata, Gorenje, Iskraemeco, MOL Group, Studio Moderna, Talum, Telekom Slovenije spent two intense days competing in the IEDC Case Study Competition Slovenia.
The Case study competition was led by Dr. Brane Kalpič who is a management consultant and an adjunct professor of strategy at IEDC - Bled School of Management and Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, UK. Dr. Kalpič and two IEDC Alumni: Dr. Marko Majer and Jurij Urbanec represented this year’s jury.
The winning team Iskraemeco shared some of the insights after the competition: »We were really excited about the win. With no prior experience in Case study competition this was really a positive surprise for all of us. We proved that team work and enthusiasm can bring great ideas and results. We believe our technical background (as we are a group of six engineers) inspired us to have one concrete solution and a structured approach.«
They were awarded with a prize of “one-day participation at IEDC seminar” and will try its strengths against the winning teams from Bulgaria, Croatia, Romania and Serbia at the Global IEDC Case Study Competition.
