Bled (Slovenia) 12 February 2023: On Sunday evening, a new generation of MBA Executive Class and a new generation of DBA Class started their studies at IEDC-Bled School of Management.
The International Executive MBA Class is represented by 17 participants from 9 countries: Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Russia, Serbia, and Slovenia. The MBA participants have on average 16 years of working experience and 10 years of managerial experience. They are on average 40,6 years old.
In their first weeks of the studies, they will learn about Personal Development, Communication Skills, Accounting and Control and Marketing management. They will also experience a very unique way of learning about leadership through arts.
IEDC is happy to welcome a third cohort of DBA participants. Five new DBA students will engage in a 4-year doctoral study designed for executives who are already successful in business for many years and look for a new intellectual challenge. DBAs have an MBA or other Master’s degree already completed and want to further distinguish themselves from others by doing a doctoral degree. At the same time, they are interested in management research and may have a practical research question in mind - a specific problem from their work environment for instance - that they can approach in their dissertation and that provides benefits to their companies at the same time.
The DBA program faculty comprises some of the most regarded researchers and educators in the fields of strategic leadership, management, innovation and creativity from across the globe. This week students are attending the course on Academic Writing and responsible research led by Prof. Peter McKiernan.
By studying at IEDC the MBAs and DBAs will join the IEDC Alumni network which currently associates 5.659 members from 75 countries, among which 1.526 MBA Alumni and 11 PhD Alumni; and counts 16 clubs in 16 countries.
We wish MBAs and DBAs good luck with their studies and once again: welcome to IEDC!
