Igor Magdalenić is lecturer in finance and management at IEDC-Bled School of Management. He is Director of DoceoFinance, a training and consultancy company located in Brussels with expertise in finance and business strategy. In his consultancy role, he currently acts as a Manager Finance & Operations at UniWeb, an international SME specialised in the development of innovative digital solutions for the healthcare and life sciences with offices in Belgium and Latvia. Previously, Igor worked more than 10 years for essenscia, an umbrella organisation representing more than 700 chemicals and life sciences companies in Belgium. As Chief Economist and member of the management board, he was invited as a speaker at numerous conferences and seminars to share his view on economic related matters. In the early 2000s, he was appointed Director of BACD, the Belgian Association of Chemical Distributors. For several years, he worked at Air Products and Chemicals, a worldwide supplier of industrial gases and equipment, as a Financial Analyst for the Bulk and Cylinder businesses supporting top management in key business decisions. During his career, Igor has acquired a strong field experience in finance and economics by working both for smaller and bigger organisations in various key industrial sectors, which helped him to develop a relevant content for the course Finance for Non-Financial Managers.

Igor completed a Master Degree in Economics at Free University of Brussels with a specialisation in microeconomics. He also followed the Senn Delaney Leadership program. Igor speaks French, Dutch, English, Croatian and is learning Slovenian.
