Dr Iztok Seljak
started his business career in 1989 at Rotomatika, a subsidiary of the Hidria
Corporation. Between 1989 and 2002 he was responsible for purchasing, sales and
marketing, and from 1996 he was the CEO of Rotomatika. In 2002, he was promoted
to the position of Vice President of the Hidria Corporation. Two years later,
in 2004, he took over the management of Hidria Automotive, one of the two core
divisions of the Hidria Corporation. Since 2008, he has been the President of
Hidria’s Management Board and since 2018 the Managing Director of Hidria
Holding, Hidria's parent company. In 2024, he became a member of Hidria's Board
of Directors.
Dr Iztok Seljak
graduated from the Faculty of Economics in Ljubljana in 1989, continued his
education in 1998 in the MBA programme at the IEDC, Bled School of Management,
where he also completed his Master of Science in the field of sustainable green
mobility of the future in 2007. In 2015, as the first in the school’s history,
he also completed his PhD in science in the field of business model innovation.
He is the
President of the Managers’ Association of Slovenia, Coordinator of the
Slovenian Automotive Cluster Mission GREMO (GREen MObility), Vice Chairman of
the Board of Directors of the Wahaj Industrial Group in Saudi Arabia and
Honorary Consul of Hungary in Slovenia. As a member and past President of the
Rotary Club of Idrija and Governor of the Rotary District of Slovenia and North
Macedonia 2020/2021, he is committed to charity and helping people in need to
change the world for the better.
In 2002, the Managers’ Association awarded
Dr Iztok Seljak with the "Young Manager of the Year" award in
Slovenia. In 2012, he was named "Best Manager of Central and South-Eastern
Europe" by an international jury in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. With
Hidria, he won the EBA (European Business Awards) title of "Most
Innovative Company in Europe 2012/2013" and with Optymus PSG, he won the
CLEPA award for the Best Eco Innovation in the European Automotive Supplier
Industry 2016.
