Tomaž Bratož

PwC Slovenia

A former journalist and host of daily news programmes on two commercial and one public television station from 1995 to 2020. After his journalism career, he gained experience in public relations at health centres in the Gorenjska region. He is currently engaged in marketing for the audit and financial advisory firm PwC in Slovenia.

He began his career as a foreign affairs journalist in the first team at POPtv, where he covered Slovenia’s negotiation process for joining the EU. Before moving to RTV in 2008, he switched to domestic politics, which he continued to cover at TV Slovenija, and was given the opportunity to host the main evening news programme Odmevi (2009–2011). In 2012, he moved to another commercial media outlet and was part of team of presenters at Planet tv but also a journalist, covering party activities, the government and parliament, as well as major economic stories, such as the Drugi tir project.

After moving into public relations, during the coronavirus epidemic in 2021, he was responsible for informing the public and the organisation of mass testing and vaccination in Gorenjska, and in 2022 for coordinating patients who were left without personal doctors. As head of marketing in the Slovenian office of the global PwC network since 2023, he is responsible for internal and external communications, participates in the organisation of business events, and is involved in joint regional marketing campaigns.
