Confederația Concordia Wins the IEDC Case Study Competition in Romania
The Romanian edition of the IEDC Case Study Competition brought together five teams representing Autonom, BCR, Confederația Concordia, Edenred Romania, and Mastercard.

Participants were challenged to analyze and solve a demanding business case, presenting strategic recommendations to an expert jury after two days of intensive teamwork and discussion.

Following a series of strong presentations, the team from Confederația Concordia was selected as the winner of the competition. Their solution stood out for its clear strategic thinking, practical approach, and well-supported recommendations.

Confederația Concordia is one of Romania’s leading employer organizations, representing companies and sectoral federations that account for a significant share of the country’s economic activity. It is also Romania’s representative member of BusinessEurope and the International Organisation of Employers.

The teams were evaluated by a jury led by Nenad Filipović, Academic Director of IEDC and Executive MBA Projects Director, together with Zoltan Pilecki and Stefan Coroianu.

Beyond the competitive aspect, the Case Study Competition provides a valuable opportunity for participants to exchange ideas, learn from one another, and apply management concepts to real business challenges. It continues to serve as a platform where professionals from different industries can strengthen their analytical and decision-making skills in a collaborative environment.

IEDC congratulates all participating teams for their dedication, professionalism, and excellent performance throughout the competition.

Special thanks go to Christian Gheorghe for organizing the event and for his warm hospitality, which contributed greatly to the positive atmosphere and overall success of the competition.

As the Romanian national winner, the Confederația Concordia team will now advance to the Global Case Study Competition in Bled, taking place from October 13–15, where they will compete against winning teams from Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, and Montenegro.
