Dr. Marko Majer, IEDC PhD graduate publishes his doctoral dissertation: “Exploring Leadership in the Context of Generation Y: Study in the European Advertising Industry”

Bled (Slovenia), 13.7.2017:  Dr. Marko Majer, publishes his doctoral dissertation: “Exploring Leadership in the Context of Generation Y: Study in the European Advertising Industry”. Dr. Majer is a founder and director of Mayer McCann advertising agency in Slovenia and MBA and PhD graduate of IEDC-Bled School of Management.

Dr. Marko Majer is one of the first PhDs of IEDC who successfully completed his studies on topic of leading the generation Y in the field of advertising industry. The dissertation is one of the first of such studies in the Europe in which Marko Majer has studied how leadership style, motivation and the relationships between managers and co-workers are seen by the management team and on the other hand by young co-workers, members of the generation Y, who are still developing their managerial skills.

In a series of personal interviews with nearly 40 interlocutors (leaders and younger co-workers) from ten European markets from Sweden to Romania, he came up with interesting results that will also be of benefit to the current and the future managerial staff of advertising agencies.

The book is available in Slovene and international libraries.

Dr. Marko Majer’s book is a second one in the Research Series of IEDC. The first book was published in October 2016 by Dr. Iztok Seljak, IEDC PhD graduate on topic of: “Embedded Business Model Inovation in the European Automotive Industry”.
