Bled/Bucharest, June 19, 2019 – The IEDC-Bled School of Management and the HR Club Romania organised the HR breakfast on topic of "Future business challenges in management development needs; answers on the critics of today’s management education". The lecture was presented by Prof. Danica Purg, the Dean and the President of the IEDC-Bled School of Management, Slovenia, who highlighted the findings of a recently conducted large research on the business challenges faced by the business sector and its respective management and leadership, as well as the experience with education providers and offerings so far and mistakes business schools make in their executive education programs. The research was conducted in 11 countries (Croatia, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Russia, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Africa, and Ukraine) where more than 200 in-depth interviews with CEOs and HRMs were conducted.

The lecture was followed by an interactive discussion with participants of the HR Breakfast on the realities of different companies and industries.

Cristian Gheorghe and Stefan Coroianu, President and Vice President of IEDC Alumni Club in Romania organized an Alumni gathering at Culinaryon, venue was offered by Italian Alumnus Giulio D’Erme. The meeting was a wonderful opportunity for Alumni to meet and also for Prof. Purg to share with them developments in the School.

During her visit to Romania, Danica Purg was invited to attend the reception at the Slovene Embassy in Romania at the occasion of the Statehood Day of the Republic of Slovenia.
