Last week, the IEDC-Bled School of Management organized the international conference "From Doomsday to New Optimism - Connect with Leaders Who Make a Difference". This great event, held on May 19th, brought together 450 distinguished guests from 27 countries, with Bloomberg Adria serving as the event's media partner.
The conference featured distinguished speakers from various sectors, all of whom shared their unique insights, experiences, and advice on navigating a changing world. Among the notable speakers was also the Prime Minister of the Republic of Slovenia, Dr. Robert Golob.
Mr. Esko Aho, the former Prime Minister who catapulted Finland to the top of global competitiveness, shared his perspective. Contributions from Mr. Mate Rimac, Founder and President of Rimac Automobili and CEO Bugatti Rimac, Ms. Carin-Isabel Knoop, Executive Director at Harvard Business School, and Mr. Muhtar Kent, former President of the Coca-Cola Company, added further depth to the conference's high-level event.
Bloomberg Adria's Chief Markets Analyst, Mr. Andrej Knez, offered a provocative presentation entitled "The Real Scenario for the Next Decade?". Ms. Victoria Zinchuk, the EBRD's Regional Head of Croatia, Slovenia, Hungary, the Slovak Republic and the Czech Republic, followed this with an exploration of "New Policies and New Instruments for New Optimism".
The conference was structured also around two dynamic panel discussions: "Surviving the Crisis and Going Beyond: Lessons from Business", and "Crisis Environment and the Benefits of Networking". The panel led by Dr. Iztok Seljak, Managing Director of Hidria Holding, featured insights from CEOs of major regional firms. The panel facilitated by Prof. Danica Purg, discussed the crucial role of networking in times of crisis, featuring leading executives from various Slovenian and Croatian business associations who were also partners of the conference.
