Assistant Professor Dr. Marko Majer is a seasoned business educator and marketing communications professional with over 30 years of international experience. He has been sitting proverbially on two chairs all his life: he has founded and then managed one of the leading marketing communications agencies in Slovenia, working for blue-chip clients, such as MasterCard, Coca-Cola, Ford, BMW, Nestlé, etc. The agency team under his leadership and himself personally have received over 80 international awards for their creative and strategic work.
Following his pioneering path of being one of the first E/MBA graduates at IEDC Bled School of Business, he got intrigued by the challenges of leading a diverse and demanding creative team and understanding the young generation at work. He studied the Millennials as talent in the European advertising industry for his doctoral research at IEDC, which was subsequently also published in a book.
Dr. Majer currently teaches a variety of marketing and leadership-related courses at Business School Lausanne and IFM Business School Geneva and acts as a visiting DBA supervisor and lecturer in the aSSIST program with the Seoul Business School in South Korea.
